Installation Technician

for Automatic Handling Systems in North America

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical and electrical installation of cutting-edge automatic handling systems.
  • Independently manage on-site assembly and commissioning throughout North America.
  • Conduct service visits, troubleshoot issues, and provide maintenance for existing customer installations.
  • Offer independent telephone support and remote troubleshooting assistance.

Pre-Installation Training:

  • Participate in a comprehensive training phase, including hands-on assistance during installations and formal training at our headquarters and production facilities in Austria

Visa Information:

  • Following the initial training phase (1-2 months), Barbaric will initiate the application process for an E-2 visa on behalf of the candidate.
  • Once approved, the E-2 visa permits employment in the United States for up to 5 years per term, with the potential for renewal.
  • Barbaric is seeking candidates willing to commit to this position for at least 3 years, with an optimal duration of 5 years or longer.

Your Profile:

  • Solid knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to acquire necessary software skills for system commissioning.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability and readiness to travel extensively across North America and occasionally to Europe for training.
  • Independent work ethic with strong time management abilities.
  • Typical installation durations range from 14 to 21 days and can extend to multiple weeks.
